Modified OAK4bedb Design in Araluen

A first-time buyer’s home, future-proofed to expand for a growing family, placed in a private cul-de-sac in leafy, quiet Araluen.

Our owners approached us with the block they wanted, seeking advice to ensure it was going to accommodate their needs. Having this discussion allowed our team to efficiently plan and support the design, preliminary and build phases. A causeway was built within the driveway first, to address site access issues. Due to Council requirements, it was necessary to have a wildlife catcher onsite while clearing the block, which everyone was happy to confirm no injuries occurred and no habitats needed relocating!

A flip of the plan optimised the internal layout to capture the natural gum tree view and enhance privacy. Additional lifestyle amendments included a large bath with windows opening to the tree view, a larger oven and rainfall shower heads.

The finish of the home focuses on a private deck area that brings the outdoors into the living area, completing the cosy country home feel.

This home was built to accommodate a growing young family and by building the elevation to the legal height requirements, our owners will be able to build additional living and guest rooms into a downstairs section, creating space for their young children to grow into. This allowed the owners to build a home that suited their budget and easily accommodate bigger plans in the future.

The privacy of this home allows you to feel at ease, with touches of warmth and colour throughout a grey-black colour scheme, for a lively and family-friendly vibe.
